The New Year Bahariya White Desert program is the more comfortable shared option. You get time to settle into Bahariya Oasis before the desert safari, then celebrate 31 December at camp and wake for the first sunrise of 2027 in the White Desert.

The New Year Bahariya White Desert Tour includes a hotel night, making the journey more relaxed than a direct 2 day departure. You arrive in Bahariya on 30 December, rest at Bedouin Castle Hotel, then start the White Desert safari on 31 December with the local team already on the ground.
3 day Bahariya and White Desert New Year plan
Day 1: Cairo to Bahariya Oasis and hotel night
- Shared pickup from the confirmed Cairo or Giza meeting point.
- Drive to Bahariya Oasis and check in at Bedouin Castle Hotel.
- Time to settle in and prepare your small bag and winter layers for the next day’s camp.
- Overnight at Bedouin Castle Hotel.
Day 2: Desert safari and New Year’s Eve camp
- Meet our local Bedouin guide and travel by 4×4.
- Visit the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, Aqabat and selected White Desert formations according to conditions.
- Sunset and camp setup in the White Desert.
- Bedouin BBQ dinner, campfire, music, drums, stargazing and countdown.
Day 3: First sunrise of 2027 and return to Cairo
- Watch sunrise on 1 January in the White Desert.
- Breakfast at camp and selected route stops as timing allows.
- Return by 4×4 to Bahariya Oasis, then continue to Cairo.

You stay at our own Bedouin Castle Hotel in Bahariya Oasis. The hotel night gives you a real room before the camping night and lets our team confirm the next day’s route, timing, equipment and pickup details directly with you.
New Year Bahariya and White Desert FAQ
What should I bring?
Bring a passport copy, warm winter layers, closed shoes, sun protection, personal medication, a small camp bag and a power bank.
Where do we sleep?
The first night is at Bedouin Castle Hotel in Bahariya Oasis. The second night is a desert camp in the White Desert.
Are there toilets at the camp?
The camp is remote. Ask us on WhatsApp about the exact toilet arrangement confirmed for this departure before booking.
How cold is it at night?
December nights can be cold, especially with wind. Pack thermal layers, a warm jacket, hat, gloves and thick socks.
Can children join?
Send each child’s age so we can confirm the drive time, room arrangement, seating and camping conditions before you book.
Where is the Cairo pickup?
We confirm the Cairo or Giza meeting point and pickup time on WhatsApp. Shared departures may use central meeting points.
Do I need a permit?
We arrange the current White Desert route and Protected Area process and confirm the included fees in writing.
